Nokia 3310 to hit the markets back soon

The GRANDFATHER of all mobile phone brands, Nokia, is back and the tech world is literally going bonkers.

Nokia is known to produce some of the most reliable cell phones such as the 6610, the N series and other Symbian devices. But one phone which stands out from all the others is the Nokia 3310.

‘Tanthees-dus’ as it is popularly called in Urdu here in Pakistan, this phone was literally as strong as concrete. No matter how many time you drop it, bang it against a wall or even use it as a weapon to attack someone, it will not let you down.

If it was to be compared to a fictional character, THE HULK would be the most appropriate one.

The 3310 was released in the year 2000 and believe me, some are still going strong after 17 years or so.

Phones made under the Nokia brand are now sold by HMD Global, a Finnish company that bought the rights to the name.

It is believed that the 3310 will be re-launched in the Mobile World Congress that is going to be held in Barcelona later this month.

But will it be made in the form of a smartphone or simply as a second phone for all the 3310 lovers? Well it is believed up till now that it will be in the form of a basic cell phone. Not a smartphone.

To me, it is a strategy, and an excellent one to bring the brand image of Nokia back to the top. After all the 3310 was or maybe still is the best basic cell phone in terms or power and battery life.

Who does not remember the games which the old Nokia phones used to offer? Especially snake which is still available on the App Store and Play Store I.e. for both IPhone and android users. Furthermore, Snake is also found on Microsoft phones.

Only time will tell now about what can we expect in the form of the incarnation of the majestic 3310 but one thing is for sure, every Nokia fan is definitely pumped up.
