Indian film festival cancelled in Australia over participation of Pakistani actors

The first version of Indian Film Festival and Awards of Australia (IFFAA), which used to be intended to happen from 7-13 May, has been cancelled.

Several Pakistani celebrities together with Humayun Saeed, Imran Abbas, Hareem Farooq, Ali Azmat and previous Pakistani Censor Board leader Fakhr Alam have been intended to wait the Indian Film Festival and Awards of Australia (IFFAA) in Australia.

Turns out that visiting Bollywood celebrities have been reluctant over sharing the level with artistes from Pakistan and Indian group in Australia used to be additionally towards the participation of Pakistani movie stars on the tournament. All in all, the development has been cancelled because of terror threats won over the participation of Pakistani celebrities.

Festival director Vvikas Paul says, “I’ve won threats from vested hobby teams and used to be nervous concerning the safety of my superstar visitors, myself, sponsors and my group. So, we have now made up our minds to defer it.”
