Alleged lovebirds Alia Bhatt and Sidharth Malhotra are likely to star together for the third instalment of the romantic musical ‘Aashiqui’. Reports have been floating about a collaboration between Vishesh Films and another leading production banner for ‘Aashiqui 3’, but the former confirmed that it will continue to team with T-Series, with which it made the previous two films.

Confirming the same, Mukesh Bhatt of Vishesh Films said, “The Aashiqui franchise is a labour of love which was created by my brother, Mahesh Bhatt, Shri Gulshan Kumar and myself back in 1990. Our association for the movies with T-Series has been a proud and dear one, and will continue being so for ‘Aashiqui 3’.”

“This is a partnership between Vishesh Films and T-Series only and we are very excited to continue this journey with them,” Mahesh Bhatt was quoted by The Times of India.

“Aashiqui has been a film which is close to our hearts and I will be working on this film with Bhatt Saab and Mukeshji. It’s a film which will be made under T-Series and Vishesh Films banner as always. Aashiqui is a successful association that we have and will continue to have,” T-Series head Bhushan Kumar added.

Alia was recently spotted at Vishesh Bhatt’s office and speculations are already rife that ‘Aashiqui 3’ makers are keen of casting Alia and Sidharth in the romantic drama. Alia is a good singer and reportedly, Sidharth is also learning to play the guitar. Besides, both of them have dropped major hints about it in their interviews. However, an official confirmation regarding the casting is awaited.

If the news turns out to be true, then it will be third movie together for Alia and Sidharth after their debut ‘Student of the Year’ and ‘Kapoor & Sons’.
